hi there
I’m Erin, and this is my pup, Rey.
So here’s the deal… I swoon all the live long day, over just about everything. I’ve embraced my propensity to gush over the joyful things in life, and it’s only onward from here as I’ve reignited my love of sewing and started to share my art. Anything you find shared and/or sold here is something my heart has swelled over, and I hope does the same for you.
I promise Swoon Studio isn’t all about the pups…
Ok, tbh, it’s pretty heavy on the pups here, but! it’s also about handmaking beautiful things, like these swoon-inducing reversible bandanas, ok yes, that go on pups but, we’re ALSO, making other projects for humans, all inspired by the unique fabrics we source from independent and incredibly talents artists. Best to follow along on Instagram and/or Substack for the full scoop in the works for the humans.
One thing I love about this creative venture, is how enormously beautiful it is, that none of this sweetness would be, without this amazing community of artists sharing their work and supporting one another.
It started early, sweet friend, and it’s here to stay
Here’s some evidence of early swooning as my brother cuts his birthday cake. You can message me if you need more evidence, I’ve got loads of it. That expression and those “oh boy” hands are like present day footage, and if we’ve met, you knew this already. I’m in full force, unapologetically, a big ol’ smitten nerd for the sweetness in life and that includes you and your pups.
Why bandanas, you ask?
I’ve always loved to sew, and Rey + I love to hike. We also love to meet new friends, but not everyone on the trail is as keen on meeting Rey as she is to meet them. We’ve found that some see her pit bull features and feel intimidated. I put my sewing skills to use and made our first bandanas using the strawberry print and it helped people feel a little more comfy as we approached. Rey, like the other bully breeds out there, is a lover, not a fighter.
Our bandanas:
Give the comfy feels to our pups with soft, lightweight, washable cotton wear.
Give back to community with regular donations from sales going to local shelters and rescue’s.
Give us humans something unique, stylish and cute to look at! Swoon.
Help others feel less intimidation by our dogs -or- if special ordered, aware that our pups are stylish but would rather not say hello today…
